I have seen similar questions asked on this forum before, but I haven't been able to find one with an actual answer.
I am having trouble connecting to my Azure VM. The server powers on and goes to "Running" status just fine, but on the Portal dashboard, I can see that the Network Bytes Out = 0 and the Hostname is blank. When trying to connect to the machine via the RDP connection I downloaded in the portal, I get the generic "Remote desktop could not connect to this computer for one of the following reasons....". I have another server on the same Cloud Service that I can connect to just fine. I verified that the port number is correct in the Portal and I have already tried restarting the machine (through the portal). I have tried on different networks as well so I know the issue is not internal to my office.
What could be causing this?
