New Azure VM from Hyper-V image

Hello all:

I created a WS2012 VM in Hyper-V, ran the Windows Power Shell command to convert to a VHD file, then ran sysprep, then uploaded the file to Azure and created the VM, but even though the machine status says “Running”, I cannot connect to it via RDP. Can anyone suggest anything I can do to troubleshoot this?
