This is a hoisting of a question from another thread, which has morphed...
On my system (Linux 12.04 Ubuntu) to which I am logged-in via an ssh -X command from my personal workstation, I tried an azure account download, which told me:
raj@www:~$ azure account download
info: Executing command account download
info: Launching browser to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=254432
help: Save the downloaded file, then execute the command
help: account import <file>
info: account download command OK
However it didn't seem to actually download anything, so I tried that URL directly via Firefox:
raj@www:~$ firefox http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=254432
** (firefox:25178): WARNING **: Could not connect: Connection refused
I then tried the URL from another Firefox instance on my personal workstation, and was able to save my Pay_mumble file, which I then scp'ed to the system on which I expect to run the azure commands, and tried the import:
raj@www:~$ azure account import Pay-As-You-Go-4-29-2013-credentials.publishsettings
info: Executing command account import
info: Found subscription: Pay-As-You-Go
info: Setting service endpoint to: https://management.core.windows.net/
It then sits there for many hours, how many I am not quite sure, until finally I see:
FATAL ERROR: CALL_AND_RETRY_2 Allocation failed - process out of memory
