Active Directory child domain in Azure VM

All,

I have setup a new Active Directory Forest in Windows Azure VM.

I now try to setup a child domain in Windows Azure VM which is in same VNET as the Active Directory Forest.

All machines used are Windows 2012 R2.

The promotion of the child domain hangs on the computer and fails. Did anyone already have successfully done this ?
