Not able to connect to Azure VM

Hi there,

Issue Brief:

We are unable to connect to the VM (details given below) Since its recent shutdown last night (IST).

VM Address: MBSPoCServer.cloudapp.net
RDP Port (as configured on endpoints): 49563

Background:

We have been using this VM since last 5-6 days without any issues. The VM is a Windows Server 2012 Datacenter Server with Following Software Components running in it. (All using the MSDN Licenses) from my Ultimate Subscription.

  1. AD Directory Services, App Server (IIS)
  2. SQL Server 2012 Sever : DS, AS, RS, IS
  3. SharePoint 2013 Server
  4. Dynamics CRM 2013
  5. Dynamics AX 2012

Precautions Taken for Remote Desktop Services:

During the installation of the above software components the VM was shut down plenty of times, however we took special care in ensuring following things every time before we shut down the VM.

  1. All Services relating to Remote Desktop configured for Automatic Startup.
  2. Windows Firewall was turned of completely.
  3. All endpoints (including RDP) were configured for the VM.

Problem Discussed in Detail:

However in spite of all these precautions, today morning when we tried to start the VM, it started with status showing up as "Running", we were unable to connect to it using RDP. I also checked if any other services e.g. SharePoint port 80 are working, but no luck there as well.

Request you to please resolve this issue at the earliest.

Thanks & regards,

Atul Kale
