I was reading the "Virtual Machine Redundancy & Backups" thread and wanted to clarify something. I have a website hosted on a VM on our Azure account. If this VM were to go down, for whatever reason, does the VM get redeployed to another region so that the web site would not have an interruption of service?
I'm asking because I'm considering creating a second VM to use for redundancy, but based on that article, it doesn't seem like it's necessary. Would the Virtual IP change? Just trying to come up with a solution and be confident in minimizing any website down time. Thanks for your time and consideration!
