TCP Ping on Windows Azure

Hi,

I've been trying to run a TCP Ping to my Azure VMs for the past few days and I can't seem to get the VMs to see the TCP ACK packets. A week ago, I was able to ping my VMs with this method, but after creating some new VMs over the weekend, this method of pinging my VMs seems to have been broken. The VMs I'm using are from the Ubuntu distro (I've tried several of them) and I've also tried enabling iptable rules for TCP as well as disabling UFW in order to try to see my ping packets go through. I am able to ping to and from VMs within a data center over the private network, but I'm not able to do a TCP ping from outside the data center. Was there some recent change that disallowed TCP ACKs from non-established TCP connections put in for public traffic recently? Thanks!
