Provisioning a new Windows VM (whether from a custom VHD or a microsoft base image) is way too long - 15+ minutes in either case.
For comparison with any linux/unix based provider, spinning up a new VM is < 1 minute, usually a few seconds.
Is there any way to get the windows provisioning step down to a similar time, without managing a worker pool?
Secondly, while I understand that technically you are still using sysprep, I'd like to understand what is planned to be done about this. The deployment approach hasn't really changed since Windows NT 3.5 was released, almost 20 years ago.
