We had 3 VM's running in a Virtual Network. As a part of our project we had to set up another set of VM's with similar configuration.
Each VM had 4 Data Disks attached along with the OS Disk.
To do this sysprep command was fired to get a copy of the VM's but this command never completed its action. The VM's then were in Stopped state.
As per the discusion forums we tried the following solutions :-
1. Restarting the VM's - By this the status changed to running, but the VM's remained unavailable for RDP.
2. Delete VM and recreate using the same OS VHD - Did this still the new VM was not available for RDP.
3. Checked the port 3389 is open in your VM - Yes it is.
4. Chaged the Configuration and waited for provisioning - Did this and still not able to RDP the VM's.
There is a lot of data on these VM's and we need to recover it .
