Hi,
I am just about to setup a standard Windows NLB cluster across two of my azure VMs. So I have 2 VMs on the same subnet and i want to configure Windows NLB for them.
Similar as described here:
http://www.jppinto.com/2009/05/install-and-configure-wlbs-nlb-on-windows-server-2008/
http://bretty.me.uk/setting-up-nlb-on-windows-server-2008-r2/
or shown here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfbFFdhOn_g
however, when I configure a new cluster, the VM is not reachable via the cluster IP from other machines (it works from the local machine though)
after some research I came across this document:
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2721672
Windows Server features Significant features that are not supported: •Internet Storage Name Server •Multipath I/O •Network Load Balancing •Peer Name Resolution Protocol ...
So NLB seems to be not supported on Azure VMs - can someone confirm this?
What are the alternatives if i need NLB on my Azure VNet?
any help is highly appreciated!
