We are new to Azure and have questions surrounding what can be done.
1. Can we build a VM with a lower class Azure server? For example can we build this VM using an Azure “A” class server, and then change it to “G” when we need it? Or any flavor in between?
2. Are there options for Quality controlled environments? For example, nuclear industry quality controls ANSYS runs. LSDYNA also has quality controlled software. The calculation runs go through a Verification and Validation process that encompasses machine software and hardware.
3. Does the hardware change for a VM once created? Or is it tied to the server it was created on? Again we are thinking about quality controlled software and it's verification process.
4. Is there a minimum level of hardware? For example, are all G5 servers running Xeon E5 processors running ECC RAM?
