We are having a Datawarehouse application(IAAS).To prevent IO capping, we have created a 8disk(250 GB each) and 3 disk(500GB each) storage pools for keeping data and log files respectively.we have kept all our data files including
tempdb files to 8 disk storage space while all our log files including templog to 3 disk storage space.We were expecting around 4000 and 1500 IOPs respectively but it appears that we are not getting it as we facing pageiolatch issues almost continuously.Additionally
the ETL run that was taking around 2 hours in on prem environment is taking around 15 hours in its first run.We are using sql server 2014.
Please feel free to suggest possible reason for not getting the desired iops.
