Hi everyone,
I'm very interested in how Microsoft Azure works and provides me many options to manage infrastructure. I'm in the process of testing Azure Endpoint. Say I have a web application hosted in IIS server in Azure-hosted virtual machine. Now I want to access my web application from the internet. As far as I know, what I have to do is create an HTTP endpoint (port 80) first, or HTTPS endpoint if I want to access through HTTPS. This kind of makes sense to me. What I'm thinking myself is that Azure Endpoint likes a firewall that allows me to open port for external access. Say if I want to access to my web application via port 8888 or a specific custom web service, would it be possible to configure somewhere in Azure Endpoint?
Your suggestion would be very much appreciated.
