i have serveral VM's in Azure with applications that upload files to 3rd party FTP servers. These applications are coded to use active mode FTP and cannot be changed. My problem is trying to connect to the 3rd party FTP servers connects and authenticates and then fails with the error:
"PORT command failed, error loading directory"
From the Azure VM's I can connect to these ftp sites using passive mode, just not active mode.
