I am the instructor with my students each having their own Azure account in which they created a virtual machine with Visual Studio installed. The problem is that some of the students have Macs, and can not log into these VMs (it is possible to log in from a windows machine). Dual booting would take care of the problem, but I am trying to figure out if there is a way to log in from OS x. A complication is that I don't have a mac to test anything.
I have tried just downloading the rdp file and running it on the Mac, but an error comes up telling me that the Mac can not log into the remote windows machine.
I tried downloading Microsoft Remote Desktop app from the Mac App store (version 8.0.9), but I could not get that to run either.
How can the Mac get access to the VM?
