Is communication between Roles and VM charged ?

Hello,

Let's say I have a VM and Web Role that will communicate with each other (like a SQL Server or a Web Service hosted on the VM and consumed by the role(s)).

Is the communication will be considered as an outbound data transfer and therefore be charged ?

The price screen state that there is no charge between services (in the same region) but it says nothing about a VM.
