I am bothered in why I get a $150 monthly credit with Bizspark to use, but when trying to use WordPress with MySQL database which WordPress is supposed to work normally with, can't upgrade the 20mb database to higher with monthly credits? It forces me to pay out of pocket. I got enough in credits to cover it. Why be stingy in not letting us use them? I can't use certain plugins in WordPress or certain things are broken and not able to use in WordPress due to forced to use MSSQL server database that is not even made for WordPress.
Brandoo WordPress is broken version of WordPress, and I am using Project Nami, but it is not any better. If I was paying out of my pocket for this, I would of left as soon as I found out WordPress was limited. This is not acceptable for paid services. I know I am using it free, but still if it was my money, that should be working like it should be.
I have used free hosting before using Azure, and they have the availability of using MySQL, and I know WordPress works perfectly fine with MySQL. So as soon as I started with MSSQL server, I had issues with WordPress. I just think since we got that credit of $150 a month, then we should be able to use it for what it should be used for. Not be forced to pay out of pocket, even for people like me can't pay out of pocket. Just because Microsoft is a multi probably trillion dollar company does not mean to hold back on what their customers can do with their products.
I am worried no matter what I say here nothing will happen. Talking to support now a days, things are ignored or told to do things they can't do or blame it on something or someone else. I am going to say this nicely as I can. Once or when I do get an income. I will immediately find another host for my WordPress site, if this $150 monthly credit is not available for using apps on Azure soon or before I get income. We should not get a broken down version of it.
Don't tell me I can use it. I know about Clear DB MySQL server and 20mb size is gone within a months time with just one post per day on WordPress. I checked the database size and it was at size 10mb in 2 weeks,
so I moved to SQL server database, and now I can't utilize the full potential of WordPress. Unacceptable.
Edit: WOW! All the views, and this is not important to do something about? I even sent an email to Bizspark, and the email response says they will respond within 2 days. Its over the 2 days. Guess, when you want the support you don't get it. Guess, I am SOL. Deal with what I got a limited WordPress site until I get income and move to another host.
I will just tell companies if one decides to hire me and ask me about using Azure. I will just tell them I can't do it because Azure did not offer it to me. I am not lying. I would be if Azure and Bizspark had it working with MySQL without paying out of pocket. Got to be a Microsoft thing.
