I have been using a production and a development VM, both in a virtual network with static ip addresses. We want to move the machines to static public cloud service IPs using reservedIPname. This is necessary since some of the 3rd party software licences will be tied to the public service IP and we are required to shut down VMs when they are not in use.
I deleted the VM and removed the exsiting cloud service. I then recreate the VM and Cloudservice under the same names with a reservedIPname. This works all well and the VM starts up but I am no longer able to RDP to the machine. I can shutdown and restart the VM. The IP address is now fixed but no RDP. I have tried to resize the VM but no RDP.
We need to resolve this issue before we can begin the work on the production server and request software licences for the 3rd party service.
