I have an Azure virtual machine that is currently inaccessible after having been unstable for the last couple of days. The only obvious cause after examining error logs (before the VM became inaccessible via RDP) seems to be a problem with the underlying storage fabric. The Windows System event log was flooded (about one entry per minute) with disk error 153 messages - "The IO operation at logical block address 231db58 for Disk 0 was retried." I saw a StackOverflow post that looks related but the solution there seems to have been a manual fix by Microsoft.
Any ideas of a possible fix that I can carry out or perhaps some help from Microsoft?
