I've been playing with auto-scaling within Windows Azure for a few days now. In my deployment, the application will not scale to multiple VM's. (There is a data lock on files that would have to be synced to other VMs which cannot be synced because of the file lock). When a VM is at capacity, is there a way to have the auto-scale increase the VM size (for example, A1 to A2) instead of scaling another instance?
It's getting tedious having to manage it manually when I get an alert that the CPU is getting high.
