My status on VM is running but the machine is dead...

Because of the current fails (May 1st 2014) in Western Europe my VM is dead, and looking at the dashboard there is no traffic. My questions are this:

1. The overview of all items in management portal shows everything (both the vm and storage) green and running even though it is not. So what is this status worth?
2. Should I do anything from the management portal, like try to restart the VM myself or just wait it out and everything will start working automaticly when the errors have been fixed?
