It looks like all the Azure Maintenance Windows are performed at night in the UTC time zone which is good for Europe. However it does not make sense for the target regions that will be effected. I'm in the unfortunate place that I have an application in a VM/IIS that I cannot yet load balance in a server farm or availability set. I have this deployed in the East US Region. At this point I can tolerate a limited amount of downtime but it would be best to have the downtime scheduled at the lowest peak traffic window.
The maintenance is scheduled for 22:00 UTC However this is 6 PM Eastern US local time which is not an optimal time. It should be scheduled for 02:00 or 03:00 UTC which would put the local time around 10 – 11 PM A much lower utilization time for the region.
