Is it possible to send notifications inside a VM created on Azure?

Hi all

Hope you can help me in the following scenario:

1. Purchase a Windows Azure plan
2. Create a VM
3. Install a Linux server for the VM
4. Install the BaasBox Baas
5. Send notifications from BassBox which is inside the VM in Windows Azure  --> Here 

As you can see, in the point #5 is where I have the doubt to know whether or not it's possible?

The scenario describe above, is the one some fellows and I are testing due to some requirements for a new project using the BaasBox services

Any help, clue or turorial will be really appreciate
