Downtime of single VM instance

Hi folks,

I understand that we need to create Availability Group with minimum 2 VMs to get 99.9% SLA. But I am interested in knowing what kind of downtown people have experienced for their VMs that are not part of an availability group.

I have some non critical stuff and I am trying to decided if I really need to spend twice as much to get 99.9 SLA.
