I want to load balance two MySQL Vms. I have the VMs setup but have several followup questions:
1) Let's say that I want to do work on a vm and remove it from the load balanced set. Is there any easy way to remove the vm from the load balanced set? It seems the only way is for me to delete the endpoint and recreate it when I am ready to add it again. Are there any drawbacks to this approach?
2) Once a load balanced endpoint set is created, will the public IP address always remain the same? Are there any possibilities that the public IP address might change assuming I don't delete all endpoints from the set.
3) I need this MySQL pair to be available externally via a site-to-site VPN and also internally to other VM instances within the same service cloud. When the internal servers make requests, I assume they should point to that external public VIP for their requests so the requests are load balanced. Will the traffic from the internal VMs actually go out through the public internet or will the traffic remain within the service cloud?
