How can I use a VM to centrally store and adminster data that will be accessed from multiple clients

Hello,

I am setting up a server/client software to use enterprise wide. I will be using an Azure VM as my server. In order for each client to work off of the same data I think that I need to map a network drive from each client to the vm that will house the data. How can I allow continuous access from the clients to the VM and set up network drives at each client?
