I'm trying to configure remote management software but can't get a WMI connection to any of our hosted servers from outside of the datacenter network. From any of the hosted servers I can connect to another one with wbemtest.exe. From outside of the datacenter, my office for example, I can't connect to any of the hosted servers. I've tried using a static WMI port, I've tried opening all ports in the network security group and disabling the Windows firewall. I always get the same error, "The RPC server is unavailable." The server event logs show no login attempts.
Is Azure blocking WMI traffic the same way they to PING?
I can successfully connect to any of our servers hosted at our office from inside or outside our network.
Thank you for any help!
