I recently ran sysprep on a Windows Server 2012 VM. Selecting OOBE, Generalize, and Shutdown options. After this, it seems the my administrator account has been disabled and I am unable to RDP to the VM. The VM starts and the DB running on it works, but I am unable to login and perform maintenance tasks. I ran sysprep to eventually Capture the image, but after reading about a recent bug from MS, I decided not to Capture for fear of loosing the VM. The bug workaround is describes and recommends different settings in sysprep than I used.
I only had one user on the VM and it was the administrator account. Is there anyway to re-enable the admin account?
Thanks.
