My VM hosted on Azure is attacked by a Malware/Hacker and DB is destroyed

I have a VM hosted on Azure, yesterday it was accessed from a suspicious IP address(after I checked in the Event Logs).

My VM had restarted and a Software by name Process Hacker 2 was installed. And my Postgres PG Admin 4 is not accessable anymore. It says it is a Missing Shortcut though it is still available in Control Panel=>Programs.

Please help me as to what can be done to prevent this type of Unauthorized Access and what steps can be taken.
