New Azure installation on a VM with 4 cores, 16 GB. Using the latest release, SQL 2016 Standard SP2.
No data is in it yet. Using the default Azure 2019 Collection.
Upon launching IE and going to the URL, it takes ~2 minutes just to load the initial web page. Extremely slow. The admin pages load fairly quick, usually a few seconds each.
Nothing else is on this VM. It is a standalone dedicated test server for proof of concept.
I have been researching for other users in this same situation, but all of them are trying to connect to Azure from their desktop. I am logging directly onto the server, so there should not be any latency.
My guess is the latency is caused by the SQL configuration, but everything is at default.
Any suggestions?
