Hello,
I am having difficulty connecting to custom ports such as 80 or 800 from my home PC into my Azure VM:
- I have created a <g class="gr_ gr_119 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="119" id="119">linux</g> VM in Azure (Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS). A network interface, a network security group and a virtual network are automatically created.
- I have created inbound rules to open ports that I could connect to from the outside: port 80, port 8888 and port 800
- I only have one single network security group for all my rules
- I can ping the public IP address of my home PC from my VM in Azure
- I can ssh into the <g class="gr_ gr_118 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="118" id="118">vm</g>, and <g class="gr_ gr_123 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" data-gr-id="123" id="123">obviously</g> I can connect to port 22 of the VM from my home PC
- I cannot connect to any other port than 22.
- I use <g class="gr_ gr_117 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="117" id="117">psping</g> from my home PC to test the ports
I would like to understand what am I doing wrong
Netstat results from my VM:
