I'm setting up a user on an Azure VM, and I've explored using Skype and similar VOIP programs running on the server. I found the sound settings in the RDP connection file that determine whether the local pc will send and receive audio, and I set Remote audio playback to Play on this computer, while Remote audio recording is set to Record from this computer. I believe these settings will allow the local pc to send microphone audio to the VM, and receive audio from the VM for local playback.
I found that with Skype, it will playback locally, but it cannot connect with the local microphone, so I can't be heard speaking.
It seems the capability is there, but how can I configure this so that Skype on the VM can access the recording audio from the local pc?
